PHEW... so i spent a lot of time that i was going to spend blogging redoing my template for my blogger because carlene's pretty uglies site is down so she told me to find a temporary new one. so at least i don't feel like a traitor for trying out the new blogger templates. and now it is 2am and i was supposed to be in bed like 5 hours ago. damn the internet. but since i've already done the damage, why not continue. i just feel that by the end of this week i will be deathly sick because of all the sleep deprivation. and i have no time for being sick because i actually do have to go to work (for a change) to train people in my absence. (gosh i sound so important.. but really.. i'm not). so anyways...

wow... i totally suck at updating lately. sorry dudes. i thought i was doing good with all the mini posts, but they're all about nothing.. so yea. hmph. wow.. i can't believe that it's june 9 already!!! yikes! i thought june 27 was sooo far away.. but my sister is getting married in a two or so weeks! CRAZY. it's been a little crazy, not too much.. but still a little :P doing a few things for my sister's wedding, calling places, dress/shoes/jewelry stuff. she called tonight and asked me to do a whole bunch more things.. which isn't bad, and i'm really happy to help, but i just gotta find the time to do it all! the girl i used to work with at my temp job i probably TOTALLY took for granted because this new guy came, and he's okay (not the really nice hot guy that i was hoping to fall in love with and get married to, but that's okay.. jk). he seems really nice and like a good worker but he is SLOW. he tries (or maybe he doesn't .. i don't sit anywhere near him) but he isn't the best data entry-er. i sometimes end up having to do a lot of his work, and i don't know if it's the change in hours that is screwing me up or his slowness or what... but i am doing way more than i used to and it sucks. i feel like a brat because i should be complaining about "working" because that's what i should be doing.. but i feel like somehow i'm getting the short end of the stick. i dunno.

been doing a lot of the hockey scorekeeping training lately, and not so much of the gap, although i did have to work a 6am shift and then work again on memorial day.. so that kind of sucked. but yea. scorekeeping is pretty cool.. it's a lot like what i did for water polo and ICA, but more by yourself (you do stats and clock by your lonesome) and less regulated because it's recreation.. so you get a lot of angry yelling and cussing.. which i don't enjoy, but hopefully it's something i get used to, or immune to.. like that awful sweaty stench. i have one more training session on the ice on thursday and then sunday i work my very first own shift. i'm a little nervous. i get really antsy because like with everything new i always feel like i'm doing something wrong or forgetting something when everything is really okay. we shall see. oh my! it gets a little daunting with all the rules and when the games get scrappy with lots of penalties and yada yada yada.. but hopefully i'll manage. yikes. but i do like the people a lot. the girl who hired me is super nice and is a lot like me (but older) and she likes me because she can relate to my asian-ness. hahah. plus she's from indiana! and her middle name is jean. how cool is that... we're meant to be friends. hahah. and everyone's pretty super nice, a few oddballs, but you get them everywhere. i went to this going away party for the guy who trained me.. and i wasn't sure if i should show up or not.. like was it a pity/courtesy invite? or if i didn't go would that be rude? i ended up going (cuz i had nothing better to do, of course) and when i walked it i knew like two people and everyone else stared at me like i was stupid in the wrong house. after that initial ice breaking, things were okay. i just sat around and people watched.. but apparently i earned brownie points for showing up.. which is good, plus free food! (well not exactly free i brought food :P) but whatever.

a few tuesdays ago i drove up to ucla with beth to go watch NAPOLEON DYNAMITE at this place @ UCLA (melnitz) that shows free movies - mostly (or all.. i dunno) of the indie persuasion. it was good times because a)that movie is SO funny.. i cried a few times b)it was free AND they gave out free tshirts and c)i had great company with ryan, beth & emily. :) i HIGHLY suggest ALL OF YOU go watch it.. it comes out June 11 (friday!) but there may be a few more free screenings you can go watch and get free junk and be part of the cool kid club. or try and find it at the theatre near you come friday. and if you really are the bandwagoney type.. hilary duff's sister, haylie is in it :P go see it dude. and if you're nice maybe i'll send you a "vote for pedro" button that i got @ sundance. :) go see the movie, you'll totally get it and then you'll want one.

that weekend was memorial day weekend... yay 2 day weekend! it was jam-packed. saturday everyone met up at "the big sam woo" in la puente and had the big 'ol 7/10/12 course meal (we lost count) full of lots of yummy food and some (well one) food that wasn't so desirable. i bet my parents would have like them though... yay for sea cucumbers. but it was a LOT of food and so yummy and the BEST cake ever. it's like chocolate mousse, with cake and then cheesecake on top and i think white chocolate shaving on the outside...mmmmm..... nicole.. for my birthday just buy me that cake :) after stuffing ourselves we rolled ourselves over to nicole's house for an "after party" full of leftovers, more food and fruit and plenty of alcohol. nicole opened her gifts and then proceeded on to karaoke on the magic mic. i had to leave early because i had work @ 6am and i heard i missed the best part! they showed a video of nicole's 18th(?) birthday party... or something with nicole and her friends doing synchronized dancing. damn the gap. :P but CONGRATS to nicole!! :)

the next day (or a few hours later) i worked a full day at the gap doing men's new flow.. i got to do section one, redoing the shelves and doing visuals and building the "closet" (the clothes that hang for display on the walls). it was pretty cool and everyone was telling me that it looked really good so i was very proud of myself. yes i sound like a dork, but it's harder than you think. i came home and napped for two hours before sakura, carol and i carpooled up to ryan & jason's apartment for ryan & beth's BBBQ. :) it was lots and lots of fun too.. more food as well, and i brought drinks :) i tried to play bartender, but not very successfully. but it was fun while it lasted. we ate lots, played a variety of games, chit chatted, made fun of each other .. and towards the end as the crowd dwindled down the real party people stayed for a few hours of texas hold 'em. it wasn't too bad and i did a LOT better than last time. i wasn't the first to go out (and i never did).. i owe the success to my teammates ryan billings and nicole, and yahoo poker. there were two really big hands that we won, one was a flush on the river. jason got really mad because he bet a lot of money and i called it... betting a lot of my money on chance.. when i wasn't supposed to win the last card came through. everyone cheered.. i felt like a hero. i think i bet because nicole was saying "do it! do it!" although she had no idea what the cards were.. but hey.. good job nicole! i think the second time i had some sort of straight nicole told me to go for it again and it worked. nice. i won something like $6 or so.. which is not bad at all considering i think i lost like $10 or $20 last time. :P finally dragged my sorry ass home at 4am (thanks for the ride billings!) and slept almost all of memorial day away.. until they called me to go help them close the gap. blech.. i can't believe i said yes.. i'm such a sucker.

next big adventure was HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN. yaaaay. i am a harry potthead. :) ryan, beth, benji & i drove out to chino (aka the wrong side of the tracks :P) jk.. to watch the movie with nicole, carlene, sonny and her mom. :) we had this whole deal where nicole bought the tickets early so that we'd be guaranteed a ticket, but it wasn't even sold out! i guess people in chino just aren't cool enough for harry potter :P for dinner we met up at the new stand alone chick-fil-a as ryan drooled all the way there :) it had a play area that had weird noises when you stepped on a certain part of the ground and cool cow patterned cars. there was pictures of giant chick-fil-a sandwiches on the wall and i had beth stand next to it and pose like she was trying to take a bite out of it. beth is so cool and posed so well and i was laughing so hard i couldn't even take the picture. and when nicole looked at the picture we all laughed really hard, and i'm chuckling just thinking about it now. it's awesome. nicole, beth and i wore our gryffindor scarves (well beth and i finished them while waiting for the movie to start) and played a very unethusiastic round of harry potter uno. the movie started and it was good.. a lot different than the other two.. and beth and i spend forever hours on end talking about the differences from the book (while ryan plugs his ears). when malfoy first appears on screen his new "look" cuaron gave him makes him look like aaron carter. i could not help laughing everytime he came on screen and nicole and i kept waiting for him to bust out a song and dance. :) our group was very giggly and kept snickering at lots of jokes and innuendos and who knows what else. but it was awesome... harry potter rocks. i promptly re-read the book this past weekend. oh how geeky i am.

not much else ... been working some, the countdown is on to my sister's wedding.. crazyness. she just asked me to do a whole bunch more things so i might be leaving later than i had planned.. subject to flight availability. but it's pretty crazy.. i feel like this wedding is going to be so big and extravagant, and then we're also trying to plan the LA reception too. it's cool that it's in taiwan though because a lot more relatives will be able to go and a lot of the US relatives are flying back.. so my grandma's really happy that a lot of the family will be around. we got the invitations for my sister's wedding and they're so fancy! apparently her fiancee's dad is some important person in taiwan, and i actually saw his dad on the chinese news as well as his sister, and they said that he looks happy because his only son is getting married at the end of june. on the freaking chinese news!! crrrrAzy. my mom's all paranoid because she thinks there will be papparazzi or something and she's telling to start starving myself :P (not like i'm already not).. but yea. and i found out there's going to be a stylist for the wedding.. a STYLIST?! yea. i feel like my sister is trista (of bachelorette fame) and i'm her ugly sister who was sitting on the beach all lonely while her bachelorette friends jumped up and down in the water in their cute bikinis. hahah. so yea.. i hope my sister isn't the pretty pretty princess and i'm the ugly wicked stepsister with warts and bad breath. well i hope she's a pretty princess.. just not the latter :P i still gotta decide on which shoes, find some "appropriate/mother approved" dresses & clothes to wear and start/finish stuff that my sister wanted me to do for her wedding. ack! my mom is leaving tomorrow so she was pushing me a lot to go shopping for the "right" clothes. you would think that it'd be a dream for my mom to offer to buy clothes for me but for some reason i dreaded it so. we bought a bunch of stuff, but nothing quite right and now she's leaving, so... i guess i'll just have to surprise her :P. i was supposed to leave on the 18th, but now with all the added stuff i might leave on the 20th or 22nd. which may be kind of sucky because i've never flown to taiwan by myself. i hope i don't get detained in customs or lost in the airport or anything! we shall see. it is madness though.. but i am off of work starting next wednesday. WHEEE!!! i am very excited and counting down the days.. yea... sure my work isn't a "real" job.. but maybe that's what makes it so unbearable.. that it's so mundane and monotonous. i wonder how that place will fare without me since the other guy is pretty new too. oh well. :P i gotta train those foos tomorrow. after i get back i need to be on the ball with the job hunt. the other temp guy (who started after me) has left and gotten a real job too.. i'm the only loser left. the chick who i work with at healthsouth is into the "industry" as well, so she always tells me about stuff and maybe can help me out. she has "friends".. i hope something pans out. everything happens for a reason right?

time for some promotional plugs.
check out the new asian reality show.. Quest USA. it's kind of like road rule vs. real world challenge, but it's all chinese ppl and team usa vs. team china vs. team hong kong. i think i watched the first episode, and it was alright.. they had a relay race and got a bunch of free clothes and shoes. not too shabby. it's interesting though. :) they get to go to cool places, and probably get lots of cool stuff. it's funny though because i saw this awhile ago and was thinking about applying.. but watching it i realize i'm not quite fobby enough and my mandarin probably wasn't that great... but it could have been fun.. or i could have been rejected.

also pete and manny have resurrected their love child unofficial cki. either they're stupid or brave, or not scared of lawyers, or don't care or had lots of time on their hands. jk... they probably just got fed up with more bs and decided to wreak some more havoc...it's almost like a std, lays dormant for awhile, the flames back up when you least expect it. check out their kick ass handy work.. pete and manny rock.

also a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to nicole. she turned the big 2-4 on tuesday.. and while i meant to finish this blog by then.. it just didn't quite happen. nicole celebrated her birthday with the lakers.. they won just for her :)

man.. i really need to get back in the habit of updating more regularly. i know when i go to taiwan it'll all fall to pieces again. one last thing.. tonight i was SOOOOOO close to driving the zamboni... for the longest time i have wanted to drive one because it just seems so neat. last year when we played broomball @ UTC (awww.. my last cki event as president :P.. awww.. san diego!) and my friend brandon who worked there was doing it, i thought, "hey it can't be too hard." so i was joking around with the guy today after the last game and i asked how hard it was to drive the zamboni and if you had to know how to drive stick cuz i saw lots of levers and pedals and junk. but he said no.. all i needed was to know how to drive and have a license! he was gonna let me do it but he had to get the other one from the back so it would take too long. damn! now i gotta find a way to show up when he's working so i can do it.. haha. i don't know why, but it's a very strange obsession. i got really excited it was pathetic. but i had my little moment of glory for .5 nanoseconds. it will happen someday.. hopefully i don't crash into the walls.

whoa.. crazy.. i'm not really used to this new blogger .. but i guess i'll have to try. :P what happens!! i don't update for a few weeks and everything gets all wiggy. but i've heard it's pretty neat. except i missed out on that gmail testing offer. dang it.. i'm still kind of kicking myself for that. but anyways..so phew... i haven't blogged for 12 days.. but really haven't updated in quite awhile.. like a little less than a month. yikes. not that anyone who really cares doesn't know what i've been up to. but anyways.. i'll quit making this blog longer than it already will be.. (because it's gonna be a doozy.. i'm just warning ya now) it'll have some pictures too so you don't have to read my yapperings as much :)

(4/23)before my parents got back i had a little shindig at my place. (shh.. don't tell my parents!) pretty small and quaint.. but still way fun! it was a potluck/fondue party.. and pretty neat. no heavy drinking for many different reasons, illness, diet, lack of interest, lameness.. but whatever.. but it was good times :)

gibbler drove down and we had a slumber party and my sister stopped in as well. plus all the kick ass torrance people :) hahaha and some lame-o chadwick loners.. haha but anyways.. it was fun, and i cried a little when i burnt the chocolate fondue.. but we still had the white chocolate (and dark chocolate.. but i'm not so much a fan). but had yummy stuff to dip with.. and the cheese dip didn't turn out too great.. but over all it was a good time :) i also volunteered to show my nerdy stint on tv in the sixth grade when i was on kidquiz.. gosh i was such a goober! (i know.. i know.. i still am) if i could do screen shots maybe i would show you all.. but until then you'll just have to wait. haha but i did die a little bit of embarassment watching it again. hahah.. good things all my friends are big dorks too :)

(4/24)that weekend was also ann and bobby's birthday celebration. it was lots of yummy food! ann told me that if i didn't leave stuffed then her and her mom didn't do a good job.. haha.. so i had to eat you know? i saw luz/vi there.. who i haven't seen in awhile and she's doing great as well as lots of hawthorne people that remind me of those good 'ol key club days. hahah. afterwards after much deliberating we went to amc and watched movies. i saw johnson family vacation.. it was alright. maybe cuz i had heard it was really funny i expected it to be better?

(4/25)anyhoo.. sunday i went dress shopping with my sister and two other bridesmaids for wedding and bridesmaid dresses. crazy huh!! it was partly productive.. but since the date is so near it was a little hard to get service since it takes like at least 6 months to get a wedding dress for you. the people at mon amie were kind of punks with their dresses... because it's all commission and profits. i hate that crap. that night my parents came home (goodbye freedom) but it was good to have them home again. i guess.. hahha.. jk. it's nice to have my daddy cook for me again :P but sucky that my mom is around to nag.. shackles are so hard once you've tasted freedom (gosh.. do i sound like a brat?) i dunno.. it's complicated. :P

(4/26)but anyways.. i went with nicole and armando to disneyland (nicole made me ditch work!!! she's such a bad influence i tell you!) and we went to a special annual passholders preview of TOWER OF TERROR. so fun! i went on it in orlando, but kind of forgot.. but it's still pretty awesome. :) nicole got pretty delirious waiting in line and screamed bloody murder when the lights went out and lighting struck in the waiting room.. but she's a trooper and braved the ride and even really liked it! i bought the picture off the ride.. it's pretty funny. i look retarded.. but it's funny. we saw the snow white musical and the rest of the day was pretty chill, until i almost drove down to san diego for the fox rox 100th episode party. it was sooo tempting. hahah.. but i heard it was a really good party.. so i'm glad for them :)

that week lots of working both temp job and the gap. a little bit of going to the gym (finally) and more car troubles. boo!! right before my dad left i spent $120 to fix my car and check engine light and then that week i had a flat tire! and when i took it in the salesman conned me into switching three of my tires so that was another $300. yikes. now my check engine light is on AGAIN and the mechanic says it's a problem with my transmission or something which would be $900 to fix. but then like he told my parents that if i don't get it fixed it's still safe to drive. so my parents are contemplating hocking it and getting a new car .. but i feel like i need to drive it the 85,000 miles that my brand spanking new tires complete with a new set of hubcaps are warrantied for before i do anything else. i feel jipped somehow.

(4/30)i drove down to san diego (YAY!!) as previously mentioned. i left a little early so traffic wasn't too horrendous, especially since i took the toll road. i had dinner with jill-a at ichiban's. soooo yummy. shrimp tempura rolls.. mmm... and went to the SMAC'N house to hang out a little bit with some old san diego friends. those guys are so funny.. it was good to be back in san diego :) i was supposed to meet up with kathleen carosi cuz she was in san diego for work, but we couldn't get our schedules to match and we didn't get to hang out. sucky :( plus that made us late for the show (the original reason why i went to sd) and plus getting lost and driving wrong ways on the freeways and etc etc i missed annie singing. so sad :( sorry baby! but i saved my $10 (which came in handy later that night) and listened from the sidewalk while chit chatting with friends. i semi heard j.turtle, saba, and tristan .. it was good :) they are great.

YIKES IT'S MAY!! time is flying pretty fast, but it still kind of feels like the end of june (when i'm taking vacation) is still soooooo far awaaaayyyyy. which is weird because a few weeks ago it felt so close. time is a funny thing. a lot of time in the beginning of the month was spent shopping for a good bridal dress for the entire bridal party, which is hard enough as it is. add in the fact that two bridesmaids live in taiwan, and one is on the east coast and it's a big ball of fun. but we've finally picked one, so i hope it looks okay on me!

(5/6)was the very last friends EVER!! so sad. i would get all sad and weepy when i'd watch the commercials. i thought that i was going to cry like no other.. and i'm not a crier. but erika is KICK ASS and had the bestest "say goodbye to friends with friends" party EVER. :) it was so cute and i was worried because i was late (what else is new?) but so was everyone else.. so it was okay. haha. i baked cookies and there was a ton of food and cute coffee cups and erika and her roomie made their own "central perk" and it was rad. we watched the special beforehand and me and erika started getting weepy towards the end. it was pretty funny, it was all these girls going "awwww" and this one guy who came with his wife who didn't really watch friends .. who just kind of sat there. hahah. but erika and kim (her roomie) set up a friends trivia quiz for us to play in between the special and the show (thanks to tivo) complete with rad prizes! it was so fun! i tied with this girl and we did a lightning round tie-break in a very friends style.. and i LOST BY ONE. booooo. i felt like monica. hahah. but it's all good.. we watched the finale, and it was more funny than sad, which is good :) we all kept trying to predict what was going to happen.. and fast forwarded through all those commercials that people paid $3 million to show. oops. :P it was an awesome party and erika rocks :) that was the best way to say farewell. :)

(5/8)did lots of random stuff, but at night beth and i hung out and we went to highland ground to see "the mecky stecky show" which is a chick from the play that i stage managed. it was funny and the guy who played after her forrest fulmer was really great as well. i'm excited.. it's fun to hear new stuff. the scene isn't quite the same as san diego.. but it could be interesting. but it'll never beat (the old) java joe's, twiggs, or lestats :)

(5/9)mother's day i had to work at the gap, but only in the morning, so in the afternoon i took my mom down to hermosa beach - yup.. to the bars. we got drunk for mother's day. :) jk. but it was right next to the infamous union cattle company. i took her to trilogy spa and got her a massage. she liked it, and i sat around and ate free fruit and made phone calls to plan my sister's bachelorette party & bridal shower. i'm so productive! (sometimes). but the spa was pretty cute and quaint and although pricey (as all spas are) very nice. :) you should try it out!

the following week i worked and spent a lot more time planning my sister's say goodbye to singledom shindig. i dragged beth along and made her help me pick out glasses and buy stuff to customize them for party favors for all the of the attendees. my mom and i spent forever arguing about what was the right design to etch on to the glasses while beth looked like she was going to kill us and watched the bachelor (the one where psycho trish is a date crasher!). finally beth made a cute cute "J" in a very beth-esque style and it was the primary design. so yay!! thanks beth! i stayed up until 4am thursday and friday, and then until 6:30am on saturday to finish the cups before the big 'ol weekend of bachelorettedom. it was a good weekend filled with games with "toys", cool prizes, lots of food, a bit of drinking and a few nakey men dancing. (but only on tv!) hahah.. my $5 chippendales video came in handy! we took my sister for a spa treatment, and the stayed in hotel over the weekend, and then went to dim sum for the bridal shower. in the interest of time since everything about my sister's wedding is so compacted we had everything in one. but it was good times.

last week really had nothing too exciting going on. i took beth and benji out to eat since they helped me in doing some of my sister's planning, and i listened to them drone on about relationships. ack! jk. it wasn't that bad.. but there was a time where i could definitely feel the food coming up. :P

(5/21)friday night i joined ryan and beth, maritza, ryan billings and nicole for a midnight screening of sixteen candles! i love that movie! i felt really young cuz all the people there were probably in hs when this movie came out, so they were having major flashbacks. haha.. but it was good.. jake ryan.. yum! but i got really tired towards the end.. but i managed to survive. that night we also hung out at ryan's and played simpson's clue while watching the simpsons.. it was.. a lot of simpsons. haha.. but it was fun, even though i never won. boo.

(5/22)phew almost caught up!! i slept a LOT on saturday.. to make up my lack of sleep during the week, and that night my parents went out leaving me to fend for myself. i didn't really eat much but instead went shopping. hahah..well not really. i had only planned on spending $15 to buy the miracle dvd (yay!) and the documentary on the real 1984 usa hockey team cuz it was 2 for $20 at best buy.. vs. $15 elsewhere or by itself. but i also had a $5 coupon from my rewards zone.. so hey.. good deal right? but no.. i'm a sucker and ended up buying clerks, a cd holder booklet, and all the sex and the city dvd's that are out. because they were "on special"... yup.. i'm the perfect consumer. and then i went to target to check to see if i got a good price on the satc dvd's and ended up buying 3 more movies. ack!! but i'm not going through buyer's remorse.. because i still feel like i got really good deals. :) but just that i spent so much money. i haven't opened anything yet, just in case i have a change of heart :) so... who wants to watch sex in the city with me? :)

(5/23)yesterday. wasn't too bad.. after my shopping spree i spent a good amount of time reading hockey rule books and trying to recognize the referee hand signals because of my new job! don't get too excited for me.. it's not a "real" job, just another part timer because i am lame. but yea.. so i'm doing hockey scorekeeping for leagues in el segundo. it's very much like what i used to do for intercollegiate athletics at ucsd.. so it's tons of fun.. except i really don't know hockey at all. hahah.. i'm learning.. slowly, but i don't have to know everything.. so it's alright. i just gotta learn those penalty signals! i went to training on sunday and did the scoresheet which is easy because it's similar to water polo, but really it's just writing stuff down.. what person can't do that? (haha.. lots of people i tell ya!) but anyways..it was cool and the people are really nice.. and i got work the "mites" (8 and under) and then the 9-12 or something like that.. but little kids in oversized jerseys.. so cute :) well until they started crying because they lost. that sucked.. but overall it was good times.. except for that stench that accumulates from all the sweat as you walk through the team bench areas, and the nasty chicken caesar salad that tasted like old fish. ick. but yup.. another job where i get paid to sit and stare. :P i'm a loser i know. tonight i go back for scoreboard training.. hope i don't mess up!

yay!!! finally done updating! nicole has been bugging me lots, so i hope this makes her happy. she probably couldn't even get through all this dribble :P. but it's one of those things that i kept putting off because it was too long of an update to write, but the more i put it off the longer it became! yikes. like how i balanced my checkbook yesterday.. i hadn't done it in like 5 months.. what a headache! anyways.. i am done.. work sucks.. but only 20 more minutes! whoo hoo.. i can't wait for the weekend.

tonight (or yesterday night) was the LAST EPISODE OF FRIENDS. and sure.. there was too much freaking promotion and too many cheesy commercials with that god awful evanescence song... but it's still sad. the episode was pretty funny and not trying to be all super sappy for the whole hour. (that's what the hour review show was for.. where erika and i totally teared up and almost started bawling!) it was pretty good. but sad in that good way.. i'm still expecting that they come back next season and i see the twins, and ross and rachel's new apt, and that phoebe's pregnant or something. but.. it ain't gonna happen. so sad. i watched it courtesy of loverly erika :) who co-hosted a kick-ass "say goodbye to friends with friends" party. (too cute huh?!) more deets on that later. just wanted to say goodbye to friends in a timely manner on my blog.

but my REAL reason for posting.. is hurry!! quick!! go donate and sponsor my awesome friend KERI KABAHEAD in the revlon run/walk for breast cancer. she's super close to her goal (but would also be GREAT if she beat it!) and it's always always for a good cause.. so go donate now!

i'll really try to do an "real" update soon.. things have been kinda crazy of late. :P

spaznik: did you go to SD?
jeanyah: yes ma'am
spaznik: oh fun!
jeanyah: yea..
jeanyah: it was.. okay
jeanyah: i wish i could have stayed longer
jeanyah: like.. forever :P

got back from san diego.. a little while ago. (there and back in one night.. crazy.. i don't know how you people do it!) missing it already. i am such a dork, once i reached del mar-ish i rolled down my windows because i was stuck in traffic, but i let all the san diego flow in through my windows and realized that i missed "the smell" of san diego. call me crazy, but it was really soothing.. and made me happy and sad and nostalgic. yikes.

i'll post some sort of "real" update later this weekend (i hope) for those of you who care (zero) and all that good stuff. i just wanted to tell you that sandy eggo is great.

Master!
You are a MASTER of the English language!

While your English is not exactly perfect,
you are still more grammatically correct than
just about every American. Still, there is
always room for improvement...

How grammatically sound are you?

wow.. this is really awesome!

this is the show that i used to intern for, fox rox. it's pretty damn cool and the people who do the show are awesome. the producer is really cool and he's a ucsd marshall comm grad like myself and has won a couple regional emmys for this show and other stuff he does in local programming. (see.. we're the best philly... marshaaalll!) i seriously had the best time ever interning there and learned a lot and it was just really nifty overall. i felt all special... i got to go to the new found glory/good charlotte meet and greet and almost interviewed them.. that was interesting. and although i wasn't interning while jason mraz or howie day were in studio (i probably would have peed my pants anyways)... i got to see a few bands play in the studios like the special goodness, and the buzzcocks. i really liked watching the taping and editing process and.. i dunno.. it was just over all great :P sometimes i just wanted to pick up and move back to sd and intern for them just to learn and experience doing a tv show. it's definitely better than anything i'm getting right now.

but that's really awesome that they're it's been 100 episodes.. considering they have 4 main people to do the show and have pretty crappy time slots.. they manage.. because the show is awesome :) and this party sounds awesome.. i hear the casbah rocks (i never went there in all my four years.. silly huh?) and hot like (a) robot is playing (and three other really good SD bands) and it will probably be just plain cool. i'm seriously considering going.. anyone want to come with? :)

but really congrats to fox rox :) they rule.
while i'm here i might as well update. but even though i wrote this later i'm going to change the time so that the fox rox post stays on top.. because they rock :)

so.... yesterday was tons of fun :) i went with ann to go to the sunset house of blues to see my honey, jc chasez. oh yea. :) i wasn't going to go, but since we got 2 for 1 tickets we decided to support our man. hehe. i'm not as teeny bopper as i used to be.. really i'm not... compared to all the other hoochie girls there in their new red jc chasez trucker hats that look very similar to the mraz ones.. but is weird because i don't really ever see jc in trucker hats so why sell em? just for money that's why. at least the mraz ones are like "his symbol" or whatever and his fans want to look like him and copy his style. hmm.. maybe that's even worse :P but anyways... i picked ann up at USC and we headed to sunset. traffic wasn't too horrific, but we did see the long line of hoochie girls and decided that food was more important to us than being squished up front hoping to catch some of jc's sweat or touch his hand. we ate that the porch restaurant in HOB by the windows, so we could kind of see the stage. we sat next to the vip area, but while we were sitting there no one famous showed up. we should have waited longer, but more on that later. the food was okay... gosh.. not eating beef (it ends saturday!!!) really limits options. but the food wasn't so great.. i should have just skipped it and went straight to dessert. usually you can't mess that up too bad. finally we went down to the floor and ten minutes later i head lots of screaming... and i looked up and see this lady with spikey hair waving.. it's sharon osbourne. that's pretty neat. later after some people yelling she comes back to grace us with more waving and brings this guy to wave.. and i hear lots and lots of high pitched screaming... while i'm thinking "that's not ozzy or jack osbourne.. hmmm.." and ann tells me IT'S LANCE. yes.. i know.. lance bass... love him. (those sharp gasps you just heard were from nicole and angelee.. they both wanted to murder for being near their boyfriend.) anyways... the concert was pretty much the same as last time but with a few different dancer girls. every once in awhile i'd look up to watch lance bob his head. at one point he got up and was dancing.. it was so cute :) i had an excuse to look up at him because it was during the song where jc's dancers put on these scary masks and everything was blacklight and day-glo. i couldn't watch, it was scary.. awful reminders of freaking being chased by clowns. but anyways... it was a good time..at first i couldn't stop laughing because i remembered the last concert when he hit himself with the mic stand. heheh.. but there was lots of screaming and singing along.. but none from me. surprised huh? i just kept laughing.. i don't know.. it's pretty funny what people will scream for.. most is pelvic thrusts.. i dunno.. is that cute? it is just... weird to me i guess. his show was all like "i'm a rock star and i like to be dirty with girls" at one point he even said "pimpin ain't easy" really now.

all day long i dream about sex and
all night long i think about sex and
all the time i think about sex
with you
with you.

such great lyrics.. (and pelvic thrusts to the beat of the syllables of the words) :P
but i still love jc.. go figure.

another thing i don't get is that he kept saying "i'm rick james, bitch" it was funny because i've just seen it everywhere lately.. but i don't get where it comes from.. probably some movie i never watched? the first time i saw it was on some quiz that manny took... but now it's everywhere like wildfire. someone please explain to your clueless friend. thanks.

ann is hardcore though.. they offered 2 for 1 tickets for tonight's show to people who came to thursday night.. and ann really wanted to go because tony lucca was opening friday (and not the night we went). it was pretty funny she's all like "should i go?" but already had this crazy "i'm gonna see tony lucca" look in her eye.. it was great. not that i can talk because i get a little psycho too sometimes (beth: "i hate crazy mraz fans, they're annoying.. uhh.. with the exception of you" sure beth. :P) i probably would have went with her too if i didn't already have plans :P maybe i'll see lance again. ahaha. :P anyways.. long story short.. although jc is cheesy and trying to be uber-manly (and his sound guy sucks.. music waaay too overpowering.. even more than his voice) jc is still great... lance is cute and i can't wait until their new album comes out and they go on tour again. i will be waiting.

all day long i dream about..... ARGH!! well.. it is catchy and has a good beat.. it's just.. those words... :P

happy earth day!

be nice to the environment today (and everyday!!) recycle, pick up trash and don't litter. :) recycle. reduce. reuse.

ack.. i was supposed to clean yesterday.. but i went out again. i'm so awful! i have no self control! well a little bit of self control.. because i was thinking about driving down to san diego to hang out with some friends and watch bushwalla's show, but i didn't go down because i wanted to be a good girl. (or maybe i was just lazy :P) anyhoo.. i was supposed to do a lot of things yesterday.. cleaning being one of them, and exercising being another. i was supposed to go to the gym, didn't do that because i was going to go running/walking with beth, didn't do that because i was gonna run/walk or do exercise dvd's with keri.... didn't do that either. instead keri and i baked cookies and ate them with (lactose free) ice cream (blech, i know.. but it actually tasted okay.. less creamy maybe) and watch friends. nice huh? oh yea.. i also pulled out her guitar and made her play something and had her try to teach me some stuff. it's hard!! i have lots of envy, awe and respect for people who can contort their hands like that so easily. but i did manage (barely) to play my first few chords! g, e minor, e... hahaha.. i'm a rock star! we talked about a lot fo random stuff like old hs, stuff that people google when they find our websites, and uhh.. i don't remember anymore. but it was a good time.. thanks keri for calling me up! i wish that either i had 24 hour fitness or she had bally's so we could go work out together. booooo.....

in random internet news..
an operation with a take home gift.... ouch!

this is my kind of website :) ihatework.co.uk :)

and *drumroll* the new internet place for nicole... soon she will be servicing herself out through the internet too ... wait she already does that.. maybe housecalls are next. but for now.. here's her awesome blossom new home

read this entry.. it's the BEST.

happy birthday ann!! :)

i don't even know if she reads this.. but whatever. she is an old fart 23!! haha.. jk. ann is awesome.. and my concert buddy.. ahaha.. whether it be *nsync or not. she's way fun. i remember when we used to ride the bus to cams everyday.. and all those key club days. i can't believe she made me spend $42 in her date auction.. haha just kidding. happy birthday! celebration's tomorrow! :)
i've been staring at computer screens for so long i'm going cross-eyed. seriously.. my ares are so blurry. and yet i continue to blog. haha.

so chores and work are dangerous, people. i suggest you don't do them. :P yesterday i was washing dishes and i gave myself a plastic cut while washing one of those ziploc "disposable" tupperware (although no one ever really just throws them away after one use). but yea.. kind of like a paper cut, but deeper with plastic. and sunday, while re-doing the displays, i got two splinters a wood one and a metal one. luckily i got the metal one out. but while trying to get the wood one out i think i pushed it further in.. so now i can't find it of course. it hurts a lot and yesterday it was swollen and hurt a little when i'd bend my finger (all the time!) i thought that my finger was going to get all gross and infected and they'd have to cut my middle (most useful :P) finger off. so sad. but i think it's healing.. it hurts a little less now.. but still hurts when you touch it and is still quite red. gotta use more of that hydrogen peroxide... ouch!

i did learn that the secret to putting on smooth decals on glass is windex and clipboards. nice huh? you can squeeze out all the air bubbles that way. so if you go to the gap that i work at you can see the men's window decals, women's section 2 and men's section 1 and say "my friend did that." ;)

Tuesday, April 20, 2004

so i just wanted to blog real quick before i left for work. yup.. that's right it's 8:30pm and i'm going to work. :P i'm working from 9pm-12am to set the walls of the men's side at the gap. exciting eh? we can only do it when the store is closed, so after 9pm tonight, or in sunday's case 5am. but sometimes it's nice.. to work without the haggle and hassle of customers (why do i work in retail again? haha). anyways.. it's kind of fun because you get to create stuff and put out the new clothes and make things all pretty. like last sunday i got to make a rainbow of tank tops.. it was fun :P it's so purtty. haha...

anyways.. happy 420! i meant to post it right at 4:20 hehe.. 4:20 on 4/20 :P but anyways.. i had a pretty funny conversation with carlene.. i wish i had saved it.. but it was at work.. so i couldn't.. but we all KNOW what those crazy concepcion sisters are doing today! (and angelee.. hahaha) :P

last night at starbucks.. i wanted water.. but the stupid guy wanted to charge me $0.27 for the water (even though i've had water from starbuck for free before). uh.. water should be free dang it!! it comes from your tap anyways. so i had to walk back to work and get my money because i didn't bring it the first time. and so when i got my water and then asked "do i get mall discount with that?" and the guy was like "no.. it's only on drinks" and i really really REALLY wanted to quip back "i thought water was a drink, THAT'S why you're charging me $0.27" but i didn't want to get kicked out of starbucks and i really wanted my water. ugh.. damn the man.

Monday, April 19, 2004

so i have booked myself silly for the next few days.. but not in the good way.. i'm not doing anything exciting... just work. well until thursday.. i'm going to see JC Chasez in concert. yay!! :) oh yea. haha.. i wasn't going to go because i already saw him a few months ago ... but the tickets were buy one get one free so i decided "hey why not." it'll be a good time.. me and ann go to the best concerts. hehe.

anyways.. so i'm excited for that. i'm also WAY excited because next monday i took off to go to disneyland! yay! i'm sure you're thinking "jean... you have a pass, why go when you have work?" but that's because they're having special preview days for the passport holders (might as well get something good out of my ripoff-won't-let-me-upgrade-even-after-you-lied-to-me pass.. :P) but it's only weekdays.. so seeing as how my job isn't really going anywhere it doesn't really matter if i take a day off. :P plus... i need a really good day off to have fun :) heheh. so nicole (a bad bad bad influence).. she's corrupted me and made me take monday off :P but it's exciting because we're really stoked to ride tower of terror. i got to ride it in orlando at disney world, but nicole didn't so she's double excited :) yay!! can't wait for monday!

friday i wanted to do something fun.. maybe get hammered, maybe go to disneyland, but nicole and i decided to go to dave & buster's at the block because i've never been there and nicole wanted to play midway games. we met up at the block, which isn't as far as i thought... so we'll have to go more often! we had dinner at the alcatraz brewing co.. it was pretty yummy, and the drink i got at the bar while waiting for the table did me in since i had an empty stomach. yay for cheap dates! :) they had pretty cool tables too, and their food wasn't too shabby either.

cute table! :)
mmm our garlic fries.. and nicole's breasteses :P

feet of fury.
ryan and sukhyung playing "fake" DDR.

afterwards we headed over to dave & buster's to play some games and ryan, beth, sukhyung and mike litvin came down to join us after their kill bill movie date. nicole should have learned her lesson the first time with me and games like that. they're sooooooooooo addicting. you're always like one more time! i can do it! we can win! well.. maybe she did learn her lesson because we just shared one card and ended up spending $52 dollars on a power card with the most amount of points. nicole didn't really want to spend that much money, but i tend to splurge on silly stuff when i'm in a bummy mood, so that night i pulled out the cash so easily (i bet nicole did it on purpose! gold-digger :P) i just felt like you get the best value when you spend the highest amount.. you'd get 130 tokens for $25 instead of just 3 tokens for $1.. so it's like we got an extra 55 tokens!!! see? i buy wholesale. it's cool though because after our fun playing the "knock the coins over the ledge game" and some other random stuff we had over 2200 tickets yay!

nicole and her new baby
(don't forget about the PINK DOLPHIN!)

for our prizes we finally decided on a big bird, two shot glasses and three pub glasses and had a little over 100 tickets left over for next time. it was way fun :) dropping those tokens down at the exact right time, watching the sliding ramp push the coins in anticipation of which ones will fall, and then watching some coins fall over the first ledge (yes!) and then watching the gleam of coins as they fall of the second ledge and hearing the satisfying "clink, clink, clink" and whirr of the tickets coming out (double yes!) oh dave & busters how i love you.

look wil wheaton loves d&b too.
i'll never forget you wesley crusher :)

**WARNING.. if you haven't watched the APPRENTICE yet don't read the first sentence!!** (sorry pete)

i'm pretty bummed out right now (and not just because kwame lost!) but something happened last night, and i probably knew somewhere in the back of my mind that it was going to happen, but i didn't really pay much attention. i even remembered and thought about it last night, but just kind of said "oh well." but now that it has happened i feel kind of stupid or bad or sad for not realizing it and not being able to be part of it, because i really would have liked to, and i should have been smarter than that.

in the long run, it's not going to matter, because it'll just be one more thing that i didn't do... but this morning it doesn't make me mad like it did last time, but just more sad. maybe dissapointed in myself or other people that could have helped. i dunno. the world goes on turning whether you're here or not. other people's lives that you thought you were so important in end up being so meaningless. you can't be everything to everyone and sometimes people just don't care as much as you do.. and i guess i have to realize that. i appreciate what i have, i do.. but i feel like i'm always going to be that guy who gets exactly what he wants, but still wishes he got what the guy next to him ordered (it's a reference from some movie.. to which i forget).

sorry that this message is all sad and cryptic. i have just been feeling kind of stupid lately.. and this just tops it off. people all around me seem to know what to do, and where to do it and how.. but i just feel like i'm floating to nowhere. everyone is getting jobs they really like, or into grad schools, and i'm happy for them i really am.. but envious that it's not me too. and really.. i have no right to complain because i'm not doing anything about it which is the #1 problem, my lack of ambition and motivation right now. i'm happy, well not happy, but i'm accepting this hole i'm in and making excuses for why it's okay.. when that's probably not the right thing to do. but i don't know what i want to do and don't even know how to begin to figure it out.. so.. here i am. at a "safe" choice.

Thursday, April 15, 2004

so i just heard on the radio that the porn industry has to be shut down for at least 60 days because someone tested positive for HIV. so they have to figure out who all has it and stuff like that... how sad.

aww nicole.. how you going to make your money now? :P
my sister left for taiwan again.. crazyness. she's going back again for a week... probably mostly to take care of wedding stuff. it's kind of insane and surreal that all this stuff is going on. and before i know it my sister will be married. weird. growing up is weird.

beth came over last night supposedly to help me clean but we just watched tv and ate ice cream. stick to what we're familiar with yah know? it's okay.. i wanted to watch the bachelor anyways. (i don't like that trish girl!)

so my sister's fiancee left his car at our house (because they were being picked up by the shuttle from here). sooo.... who wants to go cruising in the escalade?! (if you're reading this joan.. i'm just kidding.. i swear).

tonight's the apprentice finale.. who do you think is going to win?! i think bill.. but i want kwame to win. stinkin omarosa. :P

Wednesday, April 14, 2004

so apparenty the tiny power outage at LAX was caused by a bird on a wire... hah.. that bird got hit with 34,000 volts. poor bird.

beth complained that my blog is always about how bored or tired i am at work.. but i'm sorry.. that's just what consumes my life lately. and plus i only mainly blog at work because when i go home i hardly want to go near the computer after staring at it for 8 hours a day. so i guess i apologize for the repetitive and whiney nature of the posts every so often. thank you to beth so making me see the error of my ways... in so many arenas. not just this but other things as well. too bad i don't take your advice as often as i should. but at least i can always count of you to get mad at me and say "i told you so."

i feel like after easter it's time for summer.. like spring is gone now.. although easter is just the middle of spring, i feel like it's summer.. but maybe it's also because i'm sweating in my hole of a wall cubicle being surrounded by a million computers with no air conditioning. :P yea.. fun. anyhoo.. my dad left on friday. my sister came back to take him to the airport, so i didn't take the afternoon off (boo) but i got to go home for a yummy meal and then got to leave work an hour early since i came earlier, and got paid for a whole day. that's always nice.

saturday i worked as a PA for this show Merge which is another one of those home decorating shows, but deals with people getting married or moving in together. so they "merge" them :P it was pretty interesting, i went to the hotel in the morning and watched the bride get ready. she spent like 6 hours getting ready, girls have it so much harder than guys! it was fun watching people get ready for this big event and we had good conversations about the nazi buffet host lady who kept watching us to make sure we weren't taking any food up to the room. then we drove over to the wedding site, castaways.. it was in this country club resort. it was really pretty and outdoors, so it overlooked all these hills and valleys of green. during the wedding ceremony at the end they released to doves as a symbol of their god-approved marriage. it was kind of cheesy, but also very cute and sweet and doves are so pretty. in between the wedding and the reception the crew went to go eat the at the buffet brunch place next door. it was mucho expensive, but on the company. :P but it was really yummy.. lots of seafood and choose your own pasta or omelette for them to make type dealio. lots of beef (which i was so sad i couldn't eat) and lots of fruits and yummy desserts :) it was buffet, but still very nice. then we headed back to the reception to film random stuff, like the cake cutting, or the first dance, and the speeches.. and stuff like that. afterwards i dropped off the tapes at the studio and then got sent out on some additional errands that i agreed to do. one was going to kinko's to make copies. which wouldn't be so bad except the people at kinko's were so awful and retarded and plus they're uber expensive. and i don't really like their new card system as much.. i was a kinko's for far too long and it just bugged the crap out of me. then i went "specialty" shopping for the host of the show... interesting what kinds of foods celebrities request. i guess that's why they're celebrities and i'm not.

anyhoo.. that night i hung out with beth (yay!) who kept me company since my house is empty. we sat around for awhile, did random stuff and decided we wanted ice cream.. so we went to ralphs (now open 24 hours again and with no picketers) :) and we walked around and got increasingly hungrier as we walked down all the food aisles. what turned into a trip for ice creams ended up having us buying cake mix for cupcakes, 2 pints of ben and jerry's. beth bought corn bread mix and corn cake mix. and then we thought we were really hungry so we decided to make a boboli pizza. we were running around the grocery store like little kids.. it was great. it was almost like those sleepovers you have when you're little. it was a lot of fun, we came back and made our pizza. we shredded a whole block of mozzarella cheese and put it on the pizza (hahah.. enough much?) and watched newlyweds and real world san diego while eating our very cheesy pizza (that was a little watery because we used spaghetti sauce instead of the boboli pizza sauce.. but it tasted better!) so fun!

sunday i headed to the wrong side of the tracks aka chino hills to go to nicole's for easter!! yay! i was never big on the holiday (i just used it as an excuse to eat lots of those cadbury creme eggs!!) but nicole is and they were doing stuff so since i was alone i said "hey why not." the drive and the much much insane traffic was worth it because i not only got to eat great food and yummy cake but we had a fun easter egg hunt (even though i sucked at it and only found 4 eggs even with the help of nicole's mom's hot/cold clues... i'm slow) (carlene: found one! found one! nicole: found one! me: uhhhhh...) and playing cranium and just hanging out :) until nicole got sick that is and started shivering like it was alaska.. but she's okay now.. :) but for awhile her lips were honestly blue. scary! plus i got sent home with tons of leftovers and haven't really needed to cook for myself yet. hahah.. nice. happy easter to me!

yesterday i finally got around to washing the dishes and i was supposed to go to the gym (like every other day i go.. hah) but opted to hang out with my friend tv. later on that night beth and i decided to bake cupcakes but didn't get started on it until 10pm at night. neat huh? so really.. i just watched her make the cupcakes as i watched her tv. we watched this travel special about disneyworld, and it looked so fun! i told her about the good times at disneyworld and orlando and we just talked about all kinds of stuff. it was a good time. plus the cupcakes were AWESOME despite beth getting the ingredients wrong and trying to fix is 3 cupcakes in. haha. out of one of our many conversations was this nostalgia for amusement parks so we said we were going to pick a day to go play at the amusement parks. i have the disneyland thing down, but i definitely want to hit up the other three so cal ones. :) maybe i can trick nicole into going to magic mountain... she might not be friends with me after that.. but it'll be a good day of rides and laughs :P i also watched a lot of tv while at beth's.. one of the best was watching beavis and butthead again. oh man that show is hilarious. there's not really all that much substance, but it's still so funny. hahaha.. "i am the great cornholio! i need t.p. for my bunghole!" hahahahah.. i'm such a dork.

one last thing...
happy birthday sonny!!!

Tuesday, April 13, 2004

wow... there was a power outage at LAX for a bit. crazy.. i totally didn't even know until i heard the message from my dad because he saw it on the news in taiwan. crazyness. i guess not quite as bad as the east coast blackout.. that was insane. hah.. how would our lazy california asses survive with no power :P

i'm so bummed... sad news for "uncle jesse" - john stamos and rebecca romijn (not stamos anymore) broke up :(

jeanyah: WHAT?! john stamos and rebecca romijn broke up?!
spaznik: I KNOW!!
spaznik: its so sad.
jeanyah: i didn't know that
jeanyah: wow.. that sucks
spaznik: i thought they would last forever!
jeanyah: me too!!!
jeanyah: uncle jesse!
spaznik: serious.

if they can't make it.. there's no hope for the rest of us.

damn.. i really got to get to bed earlier.

Monday, April 12, 2004

i feel so retarded right now.

i dunno if it's because i'm tired or what.. but this morning i was frantically searching for my car keys to get to work. i look everywhere they could or would be but i couldn't find them at all. so i figured i'd just take my dad's car because he's not here to use it anyways. everything's fine and dandy.. except i just found my car keys in my pocket. and it's not like i wore the same pants and i just forgot they were in my pocket... i picked them up this morning and put them in my pocket and then forgot that i did that and tried to find them. hah. it's like when your glasses are on top of your head and you spend forever looking for them. i think i've done that before too. hmm..

THANKS SO MUCH TO CARLENE FOR MY SUPER AWESOME TOTALLY TUBULAR NEW BLOG!!

carlene has maaaaad skillz as you can see. i'm sure that she whipped this out in like minutes or something. she is AWESOME!! i'm going to shower her with gifts of cereal with dehydrated strawberries.

i'm still working on a few things.. but this is still awesome.

my blog kicks your blog's ass.

"beat this assholes."
it's 8:12am and i'm already bored. well i've been bored for awhile... i came in to work an hour early so i could try to make up some of the hours since i'm leaving early (maybe even taking the afternoon off!) to take my daddy to the airport. awww.. so i have sat here and checked my email and read everyone's blogs and doing what i'm "normally" do at work. hahaha. but now i have nothing to do. and it sucks because nissan has it off for good friday so there's even more of nothing to do. nothing just sit here and twiddle my thumbs. but i cheated today and i brought some vcd's to watch.. heheheh. just 4 more hours to sit through.

so tomorrow i get to do something kind of exciting (at least i hope).. i'm going to go be a PA for some wedding show that's going to be on lifetime. exciting. wedding's aren't really my thing, but maybe i'll pick up a couple tips for my sister (or nicole.. but i don't think she needs my help.) i got the call last night so i had to go to the gap and try to find someone to cover my shift. but since it was the saturday before easter it apparently was going to be a busy busy day and most everyone was already working. 1.5 hours later i finally got things worked out. yay.. so wedding show here i come! maybe i'll meet a cute groomsman. or find a job. ooh.. a job and a boy.. that would be the best.

last night i had a "goodbye dinner" with my daddy. it was fun.. we went to a chinese food place he likes and he ordered all the food he likes and we just ate. he was pretty hungry because i took so long at the gap... but it was all good because the food was yummerific. fried tofu, lobster and veggies... yum yum. it was a nice dinner and we even toasted for my daddy to have a safe flight. my daddy's so cute :) and when our fortune cookies came i picked first.. and mine said "the gift is not as precious as the thought" but my dad's said "you will travel to many exotic places" so i picked right! neat. after we got home i started packing a bag for my dad to take to my mom. full of stuff she wanted to give to her relatives. and then we called her and she had some more stuff she wanted!! that's like a total of 4 or 5 bags of stuff for my mom.. hahah. my mom is crazy. she's a packrat and a worrywart and over-caring and overbearing. that's where i get it all from.... hah.

so here i am.. bored at work.. AGAIN. surprise surprise. i guess it's not so bad people tell me "you get paid to do nothing" or "at least you get to surf the internet at work" and while that's true (and i still get all my work done)... there are consequences. i've gotten bored of the internet. you would never think it's possible.. but i'm sure there are times when i never want to see a computer again for a long while. my eyes get all wiggy from staring at the computer screen for far too many hours. i guess i'm just bitter (again) today because i wanted to go do some errands on my lunch hour, so i was eating while i was working. i guess people consider that your lunch hour anyways because you were eating.. so these guys gave me a hard time about it. maybe i'm just overly-sensitive to that kind of junk, but now i'm sitting here blogger and chatting about to go play some internet games because i couldn't take my "real" lunch break. i don't have any work i could be doing right now and like i told my friend it's so hard to take this job seriously when it's all monkey work and everyone else fools around too. but because i'm a newbie i get ragged on the most. maybe i just need to quit so it'll kick my ass into finding a real job (maybe) or i can live off my savings for awhile until i drain them again and then find another temp job. or i could just work at the gap full time. at least i feel that's somewhat more purposeful than this. isn't that sad. i'm just really perturbed right now i guess. there are just too many things pissing me off right now.

ANYWAYS. my dad leaves for taiwan on friday. so i've been trying to do quality time with him. last night he got dinner from yoshinoya (which i abhor) but my dad loves it so we had a nice dinner together. i'm such a daddy's girl. later i was watching tv and there was a police chase on. haha my dad got real excited and a little sad when they stopped showing it (because it was boring) and had other news to show. normally i love car chases, but it was the premiere of the bachelor (season 5). yes.. i've become that sad where my urge for the bachelor overrules watching a car chase. awful. plus.. i even cried at the end of american idol when camile got kicked off.. i was really sad i liked her (as a person). her performance wasn't so great.. but it was waaaaaaay better than those two janky guys jpl and jason or whatever their names are. how are they still on there?! is it cuz one of them kind of looks like clay aiken? ugh.. kick them off already!! stop voting for them pre-teen girls! but the bachelor was HOTT. it was pretty funny because during the rose ceremony he said the wrong name and had to tell the girl that she wasn't supposed to get a rose. how sad. hahaha.. and this time around there's a girl pretending to be a contestant but is actually a spy for him. nice. it drove me crazy trying to figure out who it is, they blurred her out and changed her voice.. and even made it look like she had brown hair. buuut.. thanks to the wonder of the internet i know who the spy is. hahah. so i went back and watched parts where she was in it and picked up things here and there and ... one part where it shows him talking to his spy.. they actually use two different clips of two different girls, but both their heads are blurred, so you think it's this one girl because of her dress, but it's not!... tricky tricky!! that's why editors rock. but i was reading this article and it says that jesse and this girl are still together now.. which is good. hahah.. he's only 25.. pick me!! pick me!! but it's weird because the girls on the show range from like 21-ish to 29 or something. it's weird to see so many girls my age or younger on this show so ready to get married already. but they're accepting applications for another new bachelor already. who wants me to nominate them?! ooh.. and 25 bachelorettes... come on girls! apply to find mr right. hahah

also i tivo'ed on air with ryan seacrest because adam mesh was supposed to be on it.. but janky it was just him calling him. but apparently he's still with samantha and although she hasn't moved in she has a lot of stuff in his apartment. so i guess that's good.. that that relationship has lasted longer than the other two combined. and adam said that they didn't show a lot of their really good conversations and how well him and sam relate to each other.. blah blah blah. another editing default. it's the same thing that meredith said about ian (the bachelorette) to not show the so obvious result. i guess.. i dunno. the only thing that bugged was that when samantha came on the phone she was just like "yea me and adam are having fun hanging out" hanging out? it sounds so... umm.. not real. i dunno.

carlene loves adam too.
god (or as jessica simpson would say: gawwwwww)... it's only tuesday. i feel so slow and sluggish today.. and it feels like time is moving soo much slower. i was so ready for it to be saturday already. i need to stop sleep so late when i have to go to work the next day. no more late night marathon phone calls! followed by my staying up and watching tv.. brilliant huh? today i woke up way later than i was supposed to and showed up kind of late at work.. but it's okay.. they're not super nazis about it because i get all my shit done. although today was a slower day than usual and the work load was light so i surfed on the internet a lot today. and for all you people who say "wow jean.. productive.. i can't believe you get paid to waste space" fuck you. i get all my work done, so there isn't anything left to do. don't try to make me more miserable about my life than i already know.

this weekend was fun. well sunday was fun, saturday i worked. it was easy enough. funny though because i saw this guy who works at nissan come in, and then i met another guy who was like "yea i work at nissan" and i was like "me too!" crazy business. i saw him on monday wearing his new gap pants.. hahah.. funny. it's always nice to make new friends :) sunday armando picked me up (thank you!) (because my car is busted - yet again) and we met up with nicole at DISNEYLAND. although i was quite excited the quickly went downhill at the beginning. i learned that the day after i renewed my pass they hiked up the prices (which i actually knew cuz my dad told me) but the guy who renewed my pass told me if wanted to upgrade i could still get my original rates. well HE LIED. i wanted to upgrade and those f*ckers wanted to charge me $130 because that was now the difference between what i paid for my renewal pass and the current premium pass price. whhaaaaattt.. $130. that is a lot of frikkin money.. it's more than twice the amount i would have paid to renew in the first place. grrr.. i was so mad and bitter. i may have scared little kids around me while griping to nicole and armando yelling "this blows!!!" i spent yesterday trying to call guest relations and the AP hotline.. and no dice. boooooo disney boooooo. i was really mad. they only offered a half-ass "sorry" that someone gave me the wrong info. and it's so odd too because the new deluxe pass is a $14 more.. but the new premium pass is $74 more! making the premium pass $100 more than the deluxe. why must you have so much money michael eisner or whoever fired you when they tried to buy disney out.. whatever.. i don't know.

ANYWAYS. i tried to be happy and that works pretty well when you get a bunch of people wet. hahah.. i made armando and nicole go the grizzly rapids at california adventure. i love that ride and they hate how they always get wet, but it's always tons of fun. we rode with this really excited little boy.. he was so funny. after nicole said "that drop was weak" he goes "yea WEAK!" and during other drops he'd go "oh yea, totally awesome! totally awesome" and do a little dance. cute. i had to go on the maliboomer (they shoot you up in the air) because armando didn't want to puke up his dinner and nicole is a wuss. one day she'll have to go on that ride.. it's not that bad! while waiting for the our fast pass time on california screaming i learned a very valuable lesson. i probably shouldn't gamble in vegas. i'm one of those people who always thinks.. "okay.. one more time" fifty more times.. or however many it takes until you win. we walked by the boardwark games and watched people win and lose. and they convinced me to play this "knock two down and win" game. well i sucked at it.. not totally because i'd knock one down out of three.. but you needed two.. so who cares right? we all spent a few dollars on that until armando finally won. but i say the broken piece fell down as a result of the force of the one next to it falling down. hahaha.. oh well. so armando won nicole a red rally monkey. next we headed over to the "dolphin derby" where you roll the ball in the holes to make the dolphin move across blah blah blah. i spent a few more dollars playing that. armando tried to tell me that the "secret" was to just roll it in the closest hole.. because although you only move one "jump" the ball comes back to you faster. uh no.. that didn't work. when i got nicole and armando to play he sucked. hahah :P nicole was pretty hilarious screaming "pink dolphin!!!!" the game runner-man was highly entertained by her. he probably thought we were all on crack. i lost yet again, and so we decided to go ride the awesome possum rollercoaster and break the losing streak. "walk away from the game jean... just walk away" it's pretty great riding with nicole on roller coasters because she gets all delirious and starts hysterically laughing and yelling "get me off this thing!" "i hate you!" so as the rollercoaster counted down to take off nicole went into a panic and in between her delirium she was screaming. i laughed so hard in between my screams and almost choked. it's great. hahaha. after the rollercoaster i dragged them back to the "dolphin derby" because i was going to win dammit. and i did. HAH. i must of had the spirit of "calafia" with me. hah.. whatever.. no. it was alllll bad ass talent. :P ("calafia" is the spirit of california.. who is actually whoopi goldberg. i learned all this in the "very informative" golden dreams movie/show. god it was so so bad. ask me why.. i don't think i can even describe it's horridness in text.) afterwards we went back to disneyland, rode some rides and watched fantasmic. there was this cute girl who screamed bloody murder when mickey got blown up. it was amusing in the cute way.. because how nice it is to be young and believe in those imaginary things and happy concepts. everything at disneyland seems so real - not just like motorized robots. or when you realize mickey's voice is coming out but his mouth's not moving. hahah. but i do love fantasmic.. it's quite possibly my favorite thing at the park.

yesterday was the average joe: adam returns finale. it was different because you didn't know who were going to be the final two..although i guessed right :) and i totally guessed who he picked in the end. i'm so good. see watching all these shows aren't for nothing! although it cemented it when nicole called to tell me that adam was such an idiot and a moron and stupid and retarded. hahah.. as i was watching it and i found out that he picked rachel and samantha.. i knew who he picked. thanks for ruining it for me nicole! :P but it was a pretty hilarious episode. probably the funniest one of this round. (which i wonder why they edited it into only a few episodes) on one of the private dates he was trying to stand up and made up some lame song.. but it was hilarious. and just seeing him be a goofball. and his commentary on doggie outfit shopping.. hahahaha. and then they were making this western saloon brawl movie and david daskal came back and as adam punches him he says "here's a private date.... with my fist!" or when adam said dating a girl with her ex's initials tattooed on her was worse than dating a guy who dated fabio. hah. quite entertaining. but i guess in the same way you knew melana was going to pick jason, and larissa was going to pick gil.. it was all about attraction. and although the other choice is nice and you get along well you think about that other person all the time because they're hot. especially in adam's case where it was only a two week period. he had a crush on the hot girl... it's exactly what he was like in average joe 1... he wanted "the girl," not melana, "the girl". i think it's funny that he says "i think i'm smarter than melana and larissa" yet he did the exact same thing they did. although he also did a typical guy thing and probably got freaked out by the perfectness/too true to be goodness of rachel, the long termness that it could be (even though that's what he said he wanted).. but when his parents started gushing about her. that was the kiss of death. but he also said he made up his mind before he even went home.. so it was a done deal. the only reason he was having issues was because he didn't want to hurt his family.. not rachel. what a fucktard. pete's right.. i think adam did lose a lot of fans last night.. because he's just as shallow as everyone else, but tries to say he isn't.. this is what tv teaches.. you want the hot one. you want the lusty one.. especially after only two weeks. remind me.. wasn't there supposed to be a different point to this show? oh well.. at least he got one thing right.. he'll still be around for average joe 12.

so i'm not kidding when i say that the tv is my only true friend. my tv is always there for me.. except when those network bastards decide to pull my shows. sure i have a pretty eclectic taste in tv shows, and maybe i don't always watch the really popular ones.. but that makes it hard because some of the shows i love end up leaving me :(

i was very excited in anticipation, but greatly dissapointed to find out that a new favorite show of mine, playing it straight, has been put on hiatus. only after episode 3. dang it!! i want to know what happens!!! i want to know who's gay and who's straight. boo! and this was the episode that banks (i think) got his arm broken while arm wrestling. grr. it might come back in the summer.. but it's been replaced by "totally outrageous behavior" which is a cheap knock off of america's funniest home videos. ugh. miss match has also been on hiatus (but that's old news) and it may or may not come back (boooo..) i'm so bummed out that these shows just leave me... it's just like when my so called life got cancelled. so sad. it forced me to watch a little bit of tori spelling's new show the help. it's SOOOOOO bad. i'm sad that kari lynn pratt is in it because she seems better than that. haha. the only redeeming quality is that antonio sabato jr and al santos are on that show. watch it in mute.

but i was really happy to learn while looking through my tivo that one tree hill is coming back this week with new episodes as is the newest season of the bachelor with hot hot hoTTie jesse palmer. mmm.... i literally did a little dance and cheer on my bed.

i am such a dork.

rejected. rejected. rejected.

that's the story of my life. well at least for this week. BOO. i got rejected for this internship that i was good enough for spring, but since i deferred my application and in the summer there was over 1000 applicants i didn't make the cut. gaiye. and then i got rejected from another marketing job. and then today i found out that this job i was up for that said they wanted me for a second interview found someone else first... when i didn't even get that second interview. BOO. this sucks.

i guess just because it seems as if most of my friends (if they're not in school) have real jobs already. or at least a good plan of what they want to do. i feel like i'm flailing all around and i just content with being lame :( i dunno.. the people at my work were telling me about how it took them 8 months, 2 years to get work.. yada yada yada.. but i guess i just (as well as my parents) expected more of myself. ugh.. expectations blow. there's other stuff that blows too.. but that's a different conversation.

but congratulations to my friend philly!!! she is making the very wise choice to attend UC SAN DIEGO next year.. YAY!!! although she's going to be a muir slacker and not an awesome marshall kid i guess i can still be her friend. :P yay philly!!! you're gonna be a triton!

happy april fools day. i stayed inside today, so i didn't get tortured at all. yup.. i played hookey from work. i'm sorry.. i just did not feel well. i'm sure no one missed me. it's okay. hmmmm.. what's been goin on with me. not much really. i've just been hanging out with my dad a lot since we're the only two home. it's been a good time. although everytime i go out i do feel bad for just leaving him by himself :( anyways...

saturday i headed out to irvine for the 50th cal-nev-ha circle k district convention. since it was the 50th they wanted to do alumni day.. and i got suckered into going. oh.. $65.. jimmy said he'd consider it a donation.. so i guess i'll think of it that way too. i left kind of late, but also made myself later because i stopped by disneyland to renew my pass. except i didn't take into consideration that 10:30am is when disneyland just opens so there was a bajillion people in long long lines. so i decided that i didn't want to wait, or walk over to main entrance so i just left and would come back later in the day. so off i was to convention. i got there and registered and made my own name tag.. haha.. because i'm a slacker and registered late so i didn't get an "official" badge or any of the souvenirs, except petey was kind enough to let me steal all of his. :) thanks! had fajitas for lunch, sat with petey and my club.. aww how i've missed them. although i do wish more oldies like hailes or tanya would have been there too (i know petey wished tanya was there also.. haha). after lunch i went between the scrapbook workshop and hod. i wanted to see what this years scrapbooks looked like! hehe. hod was alright.. alice won for gov.. CONGRATS ALICE!! and i stayed until norma got desert oasis ltg YAY NORMA!!! although she ran unopposed so that would have been sad if she had lost. hahha. :P then i cut out of hod and petey and i went to disneyland to renew my pass. this time there was definitely a lot less people there so renewing my pass was easy, although it took me awhile to decide whether i wanted to stay deluxe or move up to premium. anyhoo afterwards we had haagen-daas ice cream (because jamba juice was too packed) and everything was fine and dandy except my eye started to hurt, A LOT. i guess something got in my eye, but i washed out my eye multiple times and tried everything, but my eye kept hurting and i kept crying :( so i had petey drive back and tried to get my eye to rest. got ready for the vip/senior reception and sat with norma and maritza. haha.. the whole time my eye kept watering and later when i explained to maritza that something was in my eye she was like "oh.. i thought you were crying because you were so moved. all your cki memories were coming back to you" hahahahha... what a dork she must have thought i was. anyways.. sat with ucsd one last time for dinner.

ucsd cki and cki alumni!

they got honorable mention (BOO) for scrapbook and emily got distinguished president. not as great as last year :( it made me a little sad.. like i feel like i wasn't able to train the new board as well or i just didn't know how to make the success so continuous like other clubs (ie berkeley, ucla) hmm. but anyways. afterwards took lots of pictures and said goodbyes and then instead of staying for the dance/casino night a bunch of the alumni plus a few stragglers went over to the spectrum to the yardhouse to have a few drinky-poos.

it was a good time just to hang out and chill and have a few drinks. my eye was hurting (still!) and i was kind of tired so i wasn't in the mood to get totally trashed, which would prove to be a good thing later. haha. nicole crashed the end of the dinner at convention to say hi and benji met us up at the yardhouse.. i hoped he didn't feel too weird as the only non-cki'er. because we are all weird and cultish about that crap.. but he had a good time, and i'm sure he was flattered that pic was friendly with him. hahah. although as nicole's post proves that pic was friendly with everyone, but i guess we're all used to it by now.

we just imbibed a little, have some interesting conversations, nicole tried to make ryan chug his margarita, pic and nicole went on the look out for cute boys, manny had a good amount of drinks, as did ryan, and nicole. hahah.. good think that most of my friends aren't annoying drunks. because you know how when you're the sober one and everyone else is drunk it can sometime grate on your nerves? it wasn't too bad and nicole especially was entertaining :) anyhow.. it was a good time to just hang out and chill.

afterwards we went to ihop to try and get everyone to sober up. i should have went home because it was uber late and i was pretty tired but the allure of hanging out was just too strong. although my eye started hurting again once i got there... thank god for nicole and her visine. i napped for a little bit in ihop, while manny passed out in my car and pic revived miss witch. oh lordy. we all laughed thinking about how many times we were haunted by miss witch, ryan made the fact that pic would move his hand closer to the phone in attempt for beth (on the phone) to "hear" miss witch (a hand puppet) better, while benji just thought we were all crazy. haha. afterwards we finally parted ways and i drove home and talked on the phone to stay awake and got home after 4am. yikes. check out the rest of the pictures from that night here.

needless to say, on sunday i was TI-RED. so i shut off my phone and anything else that could possibly wake me up and slept until 4pm. i like sleep. i ran some errands and ate some food at costco and target with sakura and came home in time to see jason mraz on american dreams. it was cute. on monday i went to the optometrist and he asked about my eyes, so i told him about my pain on saturday. he checked it out and i have an "abrasion" on my eye from something that totally scratched my eye and i have a small hole in my cornea. so i got new contacts that let more oxygen through so that doesn't happen as often. but see.. something was definitely wrong. you can totally tell in all the convention pictures.. my right eye is red and puffy and smaller than my other eye (and no.. it's not just small because i'm asian :P)

tuesday sakura came over so i could help her, or rather make her calendar for her.. but we watched lots of tv, americal idol and average joe. we laughed so hard when adam jumped and squirmed when the golf cart crashed into the water. it was hilarious. :) yesterday i went to the job fair at the staples center. it was alright.. it was a sports and entertainment job fair so there was various companies there. i had never been to a job fair where i had a huge vested interest (i just went to the job fairs on campus at ucsd to get free stuff :P) i was a little nervous and just talked to some people. not exactly what i thought it was going to be, but there may be a few good things that come out of it. considering a job in sales.. i wonder what that would be like.. if i'd even like it. we'll see. went to the hockey game.. my first ever :P since i had paid for the ticket (it came with the fee for the job fair) and i didn't want to waste the money (too late for that) so i watched the kings lose to the sharks. but it was pretty interesting because i sat by these two guys who had also gone to the job fair.. and by randomness i knew people that they knew. one of them knew my family friend joey and mike wei and plus he was in cki for a little bit so he knew some random cki people and this other guy was from the same town as some guys i knew in college. so weird! so it was cool, we all got to talking and enjoyed the hockey game. even from far up (3rd to the last row) it was a pretty good view. my love of hockey still stays with the mighty duck movies (we will we will quack you!). but the BEST part was during the 1st and 2nd periods where they had these 5 and 6 year olds come out to the ice and play for a little bit. not an actual game, but just a bunch of little kids in hockey gear putting pucks in goals. there was like 30 of them swarming the ice, but it was so cute. anyhoo.. i cut out of the game early and went to grab a late dinner with keri at rocky cola cafe and got a tour of the house she's house sitting.

today.. played hookey from work and went to the sizzler with my daddy. my sister's going to come over in a little bit and shower me with gifts from taiwan (i hope). hahah.

yesterday there was some crazy business going down in torrance. although i'm sure bad stuff happens all the time every day, but yesterday was the day for all the high profile junk to happen.

there was a stolen purse and car chase going on in south/east torrance.

there was a car chase/shooting in northeast torrance/gardena (right down the street from my work.. and right by the starbucks i almost went to right about that time!! good thing my lazy ass went to the other starbucks instead for the drive thru!! where by the way i spilled freaking coffee in my cd player because the morons at starbucks put too much in the cup. my cd player is jacked up.. grrr...)

and craziest of all there were bank robbers hiding out near my house.. literally in the street behind my house. i went home during my lunch hour to change for the job fair hoping that they had already caught the guy because erika had told me that there was crazy stuff going on by my house (she saw it on tv). but no.. there was still tons of coppers... they blocked off our entire neighborhood and i had to circle around the block a few times to find an entrance to get in. the blocked off the main street and the highway entrance right by my house making traffic insane. and i had to pass through a few cop barriers to go home. crazy crazy crazy. but still.. i swear torrance is not ghetto.

this was a long post.. congrats for being a trooper and getting through it. but i made it fun right?!
