hi.. so i posted this audioblog after the wedding, but i hung up and didn't "press 1" afterwards, so it didn't get posted.. boo.. since then i was kind of turned off to audioblogging because i had just wasted $50 NT for nothing. boo.. BUT it is a good thing that i didn't because things are crazy in taiwan... and someone found my blog searching google for my sister's company. so.. i hope they didn't find other sorts of nasty things on my blog... hahah i'm being all super paranoid now.. i changed it so that blogger doesn't list my blog in their sites when i post, but i don't know if it makes it unsearchable. it may not be safe from google, seeing as how google bought blogger... so yea. is there anyone who can help me with that?

but yea.. so this is the background of that story. my sister had her wedding.. there was tons of paparazzi there because of her fiancee's family importance in taiwan. they camped out at the hotel where the wedding was @ midnight the day before! and also at the hotel where she was getting ready. and at her fiancee's house.. yea.. crazy. there was lots of camera people, funny paparazzi stories, lots of hiding in hotel rooms and being told "smile when the cameras are around" but all in all my sister's wedding was AWESOME. i'm afraid to say anything here for more fear and paranoia of it "getting into the wrong hands" and it sounds crazy... but better safe than sorry right? i have TONS of pictures and eventually some video and lots of stories and i can tell you all in person :) it was huge, very cool, a little bit of weeping in the morning (because my mom was a big teary mess), but at the actual wedding i didn't have any tears :) my sister did though.. she was a bit overwhelmed (in the good way). there was an awesome orchestra that played a medley of disney, and other lovey dovey, songs.. it was rad :) she walked down the aisle to pachebel's canon and a famous chinese singer sang at the wedding.. crazy huh? she also got a wedding gift from the president of taiwan. serious. plus there were paparazzi all over the place, one snuck into the wedding (tabloid paper) and then some more outside her suite the next morning. yikes. that's the most interesting part i guess...

if you don't believe me check this out.

cut and paste cuz i don't want to actually link it just in case they have the whole referral trackback thingy.. yea.. paranoia. crazy huh? the top picture, that's my family. on the freaking front page!! (while jackie chan was on the cover of the second section. she beat jackie chan! although she didn't get the presidential suite of the hotel because it was being used by gray davis. hah.) if you click on the picture there's an article, but most of you won't be able to understand it, i don't :P but yea.. i have the paper too if you want to see it in person. hah. although i shouldn't be promoting them - they're the ones that snuck in.. it's like i'm encouraging their unscrupulous actions.. but they're the only ones that i knew the name of that i could find online. i have like 6 different newspapers though.. it's madness :P crazy huh? these people were even staring at her in the food court of the shopping center. hah.

so other than wedding stuff, it's been pretty calm. i'm staying in the hotel and they give you breakfast tickets each morning for an awesome breakfast buffet :) it's got some american food, chinese food, and other random stuff, with lots of fruit and continental stuff. :) yum. we all get together for that each morning. the weather has been kind of tricky.. the typhoon is coming!! it was supposed to hit wednesday.. but it is getting bigger and slower... and may veer off course, but may hit friday. if it does, my flight plans are screwed because it's like twice the size of the entire island now. it's still sunny with lots of wind and fast paced clouds and random showers. i've done a LOT of shoppping at night markets, day markets and malls. (went to taipei 101, the new tallest bldg in taiwan.. where there's 4 levels of stores :) and eaten LOTS of yummy food, dumplings everywhere, beef noodle soup, shaved ice, boba.. you name it. taiwan has the best food :) haha and also went out drinking, not so much dancing, but just mostly lounge bars so far. but we went on monday and tuesday nights.. so not to much action going on anywhere.

briefly, this is how my trip has been so far:
WEDNESDAY- night arrive, stay @ grandma's

THURSDAY- hang out, eat dumplings and beef noodle soup, thursday check into hotel, have family dinner

FRIDAY- engagement luncheon, dumplings and beef noodle soup for dinner, curfew enforced - no fun tonight :P

SATURDAY- wedding rehearsal, lunch @ the hotel, go watch my sister try on dresses, rehearsal dinner, curfew

SUNDAY- WEDDING!! alll day with all the formalities and stuff.. although lunch at this cool japanese place

TODAY- change rooms, chillaxin' with the parentals, dumplings and beef noodle soup for dinner :)

tonight i'm at my grandma's again, although she left for new york with my aunt today. my dad is leaving tonight, so my mom is gettin' stuff ready and stressin' out (like always) hopefully i'll have some more fun in the next few days, and leave before the typhoon hits... although that would be kind of exciting to see.. probably scary though too :P thanks to all the people who left messages.. well the nice ones anyways :P i appreciate it and feel all sorts of special. but i should go.. help my mom or something, or nap. i'm tired. this heat is getting to me.

see you soon!!

ps. the "real" post time for me is Wednesday, June 30, 8:00pm. I'm in the future!!
