yup.. the weekend definitely went by too fast. too too toooooo fast.

friday night jeff-gu threw a surprise kind of dinner for my sister as an early bday celebration because she's going to be in taiwan on business during her bday.. but i opted for not going because i had already told jill that i would be at her thing, and i figured my sister wanted to hang out with her friends without her bratty little sister around. so i arrived late at jill's.. (sorry! the glow of my monitor was sucking me in) and drove down to hermosa with mollie, paul and jill. we finally found not to shabby parking and headed to cafe boogaloo. a place that i've always seen and walked by when in hb, but never really noticed and went in.. so we were all like.. "oh yea.. we've seen this place before" it was a $10 cover which we were planning on getting back by leaving before the live band came on (which didn't happen :P) and ate all sorts of cajun food. some more cajuney than others (catfish po' boys and gumbo and jambalaya vs. tri-tip sandwiches and hamburgers). but it was all pretty good... i spent like $40 total that night. and then afterwards.. the loser tired people went home :P and the troopers (me, jill, beth and ryan) headed over to 501 to karaoke. i've lived in torrance forever and never knew about this 501 place. never have been there, let alone heard of it until recently. but it was pretty cool, they had a good selection of songs and we all sang to our hearts content.. the remedy. (haha.. yup.. jason mraz has made it to karaoke), high hopes (such a cute song!), tiffany, janet jackson, black eyed peas, incubus... randomness. i would load pix.. but a) i haven't taken them outta the camera yet and b) they probably wouldn't show up anyways.. (grr.)

saturday i had to work at el gap-o. not too bad, it wasn't too early and only for a few hours. very chill and i got my job done. came home and rested, napped, watched tivo. my new obsession (i can already tell) is going to be Playing it Straight. the newest show in reality dating specials where this one girl has to pick from a group of guys.. where some of them are straight and some of them are gay. and you think that you'd be able to tell.. but there are some femme straight guys and macho gay guys. the two guys she kicked off in the first episode were both straight! hmm.. it seems like it'll be pretty good though. except i saw a preview for one episode and these guys are arm wrestling and one guy's arm just snaps.. ewww... that's going to be crazy to watch. it's supposed to be good because it's going to dispell stereotypes and all the good junk and if she picks a gay guy in the end... we'll see how the drama unfolds :P tonight is also the premiere of AJ: Adam Returns.. oooohhh.. hehehe. i love tv.

i finally moved my desk up to my room and can begin phase 2 of unpacking from san diego. :P the job i applied at fox i think has already been filled and i didn't even get a phone call :( despite in-person references by my old boss. so i told him i'd go intern for him for free, and he seemed to like that. it would be fun to do that again.. maybe i'd meet a rock star and fall in love. hahah. at least that's a back up plan. saturday, instead of going out with jill for her last weekend in la celebration (awww.. don't leave jill!) i was supposed to go out with erika to this concert/mtv promo thing for one of her many rockstar friends.. but we ended up not going because we didn't want to get all skankified for the dance club that was happening afterwards. so we ended up just hanging out at her very nice house with her very cute kitties and very nice collection of music ;) we made a 7-11 and i realized just how much erika goes to there.. the guys who work there know her and have stuff she wants ready when we get there :P we got slurpees and big gulps and she won a free itunes song (i lost.. boo)

sunday was a little bit of shopping, some music stuff, re-setting up the ipod, chattin on the phone, sleeping, lunch with the parents at souplantation (oh how my parents love that place). it was a pretty okay weekend.
