Show me that smile again
Don’t waste another minute on your cryin’
We're nowhere near the end
The best is ready to begin

As long as we got each other
We got the world spinnin right in our hands
Baby you and me, we gotta be
The luckiest dreamers who never quit dreamin’

As long as we keep on givin’
we can take anything that comes our way
Baby, rain or shine, all the time
We got each other
Sharin’ the laughter and love

so i'm pretty geeky. i watched "growing pains: return of the seavers" on saturday night .. just for old times sake. i knew it was going to be cheesy and all, but i found it searching through my tivo listings and wanted to record it anyways. it was cheesy, but good... because i'm easily amused and will enjoy almost anything. but i do love that cheese. at the end they had this girl band (i think is the ashley johnson "chrissy" and her real life sister singing.. but i'm not sure) singing the theme song and it was so cute and i got all nostalgic and warm and fuzzy. i think i've watched the end like 5 times now. har har har. hey.. i'm not the only one who loves it :P see i'm not crazy. it was really good... i wish i knew how to tape thing off my tv so i could make an mp3 of the song or something. help.. anyone? :)

my weekend was pretty uneventful. chilling at home, fighting with my mom, cleaning some, sleeping some and work a little. i've had a few weeks off at the gap and i think now they're expecting me to come back.. umm.. but i kind of want to, but i kind of don't. i dunno. it's just a bad time right now still.. once softball ends and once the play ends it'll be a little better... although i dunno if we're going to play again next season, but the play will be done and i can have thursday nights back :) not that i don't enjoy it... i just wish i could sit around and do absolutely nothing for like a month. that would be nice.

my aunt is in town before she goes off to taiwan. my mom likes to take her out to a bunch of places, so we've been going out to eat a lot. sunday was china buffet.. yes again. blech :P the only good thing about going to china buffet so many times is that you know exactly what to eat and what to stay away from. my favorites are the bean noodles and my own yummy dessert of donuts and ice cream. it's really good.. i can't explain it. haha it's just like on apprentice! last night they went to el torasco, but i couldn't go cuz of the game. well i guess i could have caught up with them because the other team forfeited because they didn't have enough players & enough girls... but we ended up playing anyways. we were worried about not beating them, because we won against them last time, but we had 3 sub-players because one girl broke her nose and her and her husband left for the hospital. we played them.. and they really were not that great.. so i guess that's good :) yay for us, we're not in complete last place :P we can move up in the rankings, we just have to win all the rest of our games. haahah. just like beth says, "every sports movie ever made says we can make a come back and win" that's for sure.

after the game last night i drove by the torrance inline hockey rink and just sat and watched for a bit. i watched the scorekeeper and the clock and the referees and a little bit of the game. i only saw the 3rd period, but they don't have stop time or maybe their goal deficit number is different. also i think they keep track of goal attempts or something. i'm not sure. i wanted to ask the scorekeeper, but i didn't want to be more geeky than i already was. i also saw some of the skate park, for the first time. it was dark and it was closed, so i just looked from beyond the gate.. but it was kind of a good feeling that i had helped build it and contribute to it's creation. i mean.. not physically put it together.. but i remember when we were planning in torrance youth council to get it done, get funding and all that other stuff. how we thought that it'd never happen, but some of the council members supported us, and now there is a teen center, there's a skate park and a whole bunch of stuff @ wilson park now. it's pretty nifty... it makes me feel like i had actually "made" a difference. although you would never be able to tell.. but i know :P when my sister was in youth council and gary was in charge, he used to always have holiday parties at his house and have old and new tyc people all get together. i always thought that would be fun to go to, but he stopped having them and then stopped being the youth council liason. i wonder what happened to all the people .. it would be fun to see them. more so my first year than my second... but it was good times. until that last year.. when i got robbed.. but oh well. hahah. bigger and better things huh? but i do wish i could have ridden on that rose float. :P robbed i tell you.. robbed. i still have my cool ass torrance youth council jacket. hah. i *heart* torrance.
