beth complained that my blog is always about how bored or tired i am at work.. but i'm sorry.. that's just what consumes my life lately. and plus i only mainly blog at work because when i go home i hardly want to go near the computer after staring at it for 8 hours a day. so i guess i apologize for the repetitive and whiney nature of the posts every so often. thank you to beth so making me see the error of my ways... in so many arenas. not just this but other things as well. too bad i don't take your advice as often as i should. but at least i can always count of you to get mad at me and say "i told you so."
i feel like after easter it's time for summer.. like spring is gone now.. although easter is just the middle of spring, i feel like it's summer.. but maybe it's also because i'm sweating in my hole of a wall cubicle being surrounded by a million computers with no air conditioning. :P yea.. fun. anyhoo.. my dad left on friday. my sister came back to take him to the airport, so i didn't take the afternoon off (boo) but i got to go home for a yummy meal and then got to leave work an hour early since i came earlier, and got paid for a whole day. that's always nice.
saturday i worked as a PA for this show Merge which is another one of those home decorating shows, but deals with people getting married or moving in together. so they "merge" them :P it was pretty interesting, i went to the hotel in the morning and watched the bride get ready. she spent like 6 hours getting ready, girls have it so much harder than guys! it was fun watching people get ready for this big event and we had good conversations about the nazi buffet host lady who kept watching us to make sure we weren't taking any food up to the room. then we drove over to the wedding site, castaways.. it was in this country club resort. it was really pretty and outdoors, so it overlooked all these hills and valleys of green. during the wedding ceremony at the end they released to doves as a symbol of their god-approved marriage. it was kind of cheesy, but also very cute and sweet and doves are so pretty. in between the wedding and the reception the crew went to go eat the at the buffet brunch place next door. it was mucho expensive, but on the company. :P but it was really yummy.. lots of seafood and choose your own pasta or omelette for them to make type dealio. lots of beef (which i was so sad i couldn't eat) and lots of fruits and yummy desserts :) it was buffet, but still very nice. then we headed back to the reception to film random stuff, like the cake cutting, or the first dance, and the speeches.. and stuff like that. afterwards i dropped off the tapes at the studio and then got sent out on some additional errands that i agreed to do. one was going to kinko's to make copies. which wouldn't be so bad except the people at kinko's were so awful and retarded and plus they're uber expensive. and i don't really like their new card system as much.. i was a kinko's for far too long and it just bugged the crap out of me. then i went "specialty" shopping for the host of the show... interesting what kinds of foods celebrities request. i guess that's why they're celebrities and i'm not.
anyhoo.. that night i hung out with beth (yay!) who kept me company since my house is empty. we sat around for awhile, did random stuff and decided we wanted ice cream.. so we went to ralphs (now open 24 hours again and with no picketers) :) and we walked around and got increasingly hungrier as we walked down all the food aisles. what turned into a trip for ice creams ended up having us buying cake mix for cupcakes, 2 pints of ben and jerry's. beth bought corn bread mix and corn cake mix. and then we thought we were really hungry so we decided to make a boboli pizza. we were running around the grocery store like little kids.. it was great. it was almost like those sleepovers you have when you're little. it was a lot of fun, we came back and made our pizza. we shredded a whole block of mozzarella cheese and put it on the pizza (hahah.. enough much?) and watched newlyweds and real world san diego while eating our very cheesy pizza (that was a little watery because we used spaghetti sauce instead of the boboli pizza sauce.. but it tasted better!) so fun!
sunday i headed to the wrong side of the tracks aka chino hills to go to nicole's for easter!! yay! i was never big on the holiday (i just used it as an excuse to eat lots of those cadbury creme eggs!!) but nicole is and they were doing stuff so since i was alone i said "hey why not." the drive and the much much insane traffic was worth it because i not only got to eat great food and yummy cake but we had a fun easter egg hunt (even though i sucked at it and only found 4 eggs even with the help of nicole's mom's hot/cold clues... i'm slow) (carlene: found one! found one! nicole: found one! me: uhhhhh...) and playing cranium and just hanging out :) until nicole got sick that is and started shivering like it was alaska.. but she's okay now.. :) but for awhile her lips were honestly blue. scary! plus i got sent home with tons of leftovers and haven't really needed to cook for myself yet. hahah.. nice. happy easter to me!
yesterday i finally got around to washing the dishes and i was supposed to go to the gym (like every other day i go.. hah) but opted to hang out with my friend tv. later on that night beth and i decided to bake cupcakes but didn't get started on it until 10pm at night. neat huh? so really.. i just watched her make the cupcakes as i watched her tv. we watched this travel special about disneyworld, and it looked so fun! i told her about the good times at disneyworld and orlando and we just talked about all kinds of stuff. it was a good time. plus the cupcakes were AWESOME despite beth getting the ingredients wrong and trying to fix is 3 cupcakes in. haha. out of one of our many conversations was this nostalgia for amusement parks so we said we were going to pick a day to go play at the amusement parks. i have the disneyland thing down, but i definitely want to hit up the other three so cal ones. :) maybe i can trick nicole into going to magic mountain... she might not be friends with me after that.. but it'll be a good day of rides and laughs :P i also watched a lot of tv while at beth's.. one of the best was watching beavis and butthead again. oh man that show is hilarious. there's not really all that much substance, but it's still so funny. hahaha.. "i am the great cornholio! i need t.p. for my bunghole!" hahahahah.. i'm such a dork.
one last thing...
happy birthday sonny!!!
