so i've been working on this since last friday (or a few weeks actually), and just now my lazy ass finally got it done. i think it's because i'm putting off laundry and cleaning my closet. but okay.. enough babbling, shut up and post.

i never did a whole review thing on my taiwan trip, i guess i forgot because i had all those mini posts while i was there. i took like 600 or so pictures, but they're hidden, so if you want to see them - let me know. and if i like you, then maybe you'll get to see them :P hah. jk i just put a password on it so that freaky people wouldn't see it - my sister's idea. but it's chill.. here are a few - hope it's okay.

my cousins, my grandma toasting to my sister & the "kids" table, all of my grandma's kids - minus 2 cousins :(

this was from our "family dinner" at the howard plaza hotel. my grandma was so happy that so many kids could be back.. there was a lot of "family dinners." but it was a good time, and lots of food, of course. my dad and i were walking because he said it was a few blocks. after walking for 15 minutes he decided it was too far and we hailed a taxi and rode in it for like 20 more minutes (with traffic). my dad has no sense of "blockage."

my cousin and aunt, the centerpieces at the engagement, the happy couple :)

so yea.. there was an engagement ceremony two days before the wedding. that comes from the more traditional style. the bride is introduced to the groom's family, and it's a ceremony for the bride's family, for when like in olden days the bride's family couldn't attend the wedding. they exchange rings here and i think there's present giving and all that. it was nice. the ceremony, and then lunch.

wedding pictures!! gettin ready, the bridal party, our family (both sides), the hotel where the wedding was at, the room setup for the wedding, yummy wedding dessert!

it was way fun and way pretty. wedding day was an all day event - in the morning the groom & groomsmen came over to "our house" (which was a hotel because we don't have a house there - at least not large enough to fit all those people!) and the bridesmaids made them "play games" to see the bride, and then we did a thing with my parents (and my mom was kind of bawling.. ack.. made everyone else cry!) and then we all went over to jeff's house to do the same, taking lots of pictures all along the way. crazyness there was paparazzi all over the place, as my sister exited the hotel to get in the car.. it was like when you see those shows and the people are leaving the club and people stick cameras in your face to get you. it was wild. we got to rest in between while my sister had to go do some other junk. plus she couldn't take off her wedding dress all day because she was only allowed to wear it once, so it was bad luck to take it off because that's considered wearing it twice (when she puts it back on). crazy. the hotel was way nice.. but my sister didn't get the presidential suite because they had to give it to gray davis. hah. and the wedding room was BEAUTIFUL. i seriously started hyperventilating right before we were supposed to walk in because i hadn't seen the whole room set up and it looked so drastically different from rehearsal. it seemed so big and huge and i had to kneel and catch my breath real quick, my heart was beating so fast. and it caused my sister to cry too.. aww..

SIGHTSEEING!!

taiwan flag in the pretty blue sky, the pretty pretty ceiling of taipei city hall, taipei 101 - the newest tallest bldg in taipei. it's not completely done yet, but there is 4 levels of shopping! yay!, night club and office buildings. soon there will be a observatory deck where you can go to the top.. that'll be awesome. i went to the toy store and saw harry potter stuff.. it was wicked... i should have bought that giant lego harry. beth would be so jealous. haha. me among the giant chess pieces on the street outside taipei 101 (just like harry potter!), after the wedding everyone got to go play- eating shaved ice at shi-lin night market, riding the mass rapid transit (subway), me and olivia at shilin, yuen-ling street market - purses galore!! :)

yay for sightseeing, glad i got most of it in before the typhoon hit. the amount of time i was there was a good time.. enough for business and pleasure :) i think if i had more time i wouldn't have been able to come home because my luggages would be too overstuffed :P but i think by that time i was ready to come home, getting out of the weather, plus it's hard to be somewhere for a long time and be so helpless. but it was way fun, no doubt.

my taiwan trip would not be complete without some cloudy pictures :) - the sky after the storm.. so pretty. the view from the plane, somewhere over the pacific.

okay.. some fun pictures from back in lovely california :)

gary hall jr. and his dad after he won the 50 free oly trial :) didn't want to pay for the picture.. ghetto.... :P

fun birthday pictures!! pre-birthday celebrations for beth @ disneyland - yay!, sakura's dancing, fireworks :) and the castle (teeny tiny blue thing :P), beth looking cute, my dessert at the dinner place for beth's bday, karaoke @ 501, me and nicole.

for beth's bday nicole, sakura and i took her to disneyland and got her a pass.. fun for a whole year!! whoo hoo. the next day we all met up in torrance at a korean bbq place for yummerific food and dessert and then karaoke-ing at 501. afterwards we drove down to hermosa for an hour or so of last minute celebrating, drinking, dancing, getting kissed on cheeks by boys (that was just beth). :) highlights include tons of fun @ disneyland of course, they brought back the mark twain for the end of fantasmic!, beth (former disneyland hater):"how can anyone hate disneyland?!", sakura eating all the m&m's off the cookie cake, cooking our own food and desserts, me sucking at karaoke, nicole and beth drinking 40's in my car, beth flashing everyone on the pier, and... other stuff i can't remember. i'm tired.. and this blog was entirely way too long and overdue. sorry.. i suck.

i'll update the last few days.. before i have to play catch up again. blech. this week was just a lot of work. nissan, gap, hockey.. blah blah blah. my uncle (mom's brother) and his family came in this week, and a family friend (new aunt) and her new hubby came as well. our house is packed with people - sleepin on the floor, on the couch.. but it's fun. more exciting, there's stuff to do. but then i feel bad when i have to go do other stuff.. boo. oh well. i might go on a trip with them next week to norcal.. if i can get off work. that could be fun. i hope :P friday i did some editing for a video to show at joan's wedding, and then went to go meet nicole at disneyland for some bonding and piano man watching. it was fun even though i was only at disneyland for like 1 hour.. haha that's what annual passes are for! afterwards we went to denny's and i got my "princess" meal complete with pink ranch sauce and "a cinderella story" poster. yay.. chad michael murray, i love you :P saturday was more editing, family lunch, working at the gap and then sakura came over that night so i could do her calendar and we watched "confessions of a teenage drama queen." it was pretty bad.. there were some okay parts, but it wasn't that great. and now that i think of it, it's almost just like mean girls, but suckier. girl comes to new city/school, wants to be cool, clashes with the popular pretty girl, befriends the outcast, and in the end overcomes. blahbity blah blah. there i just saved you the rental price. today i worked at 5am (ack!) and the gap doing women's new flow. the hours are sucky, but it's okay.. i like being there when the stores not open and rebuilding walls, putting out new merchandise, dressing mannequins, creating displays :) i'm such a dork. i did women's section one.. go ooh and ahh :) then i went to hockey - work work work.. my aunt and uncle think i'm "hard worker" little do they know is that i work so many jobs to make up for my lameness and un-hard-workingness. :P but today was fun, someone that i thought didn't really like me was nicer to me today, there weren't too many fight, the little kids are cute like always. came home, fell asleep but got back in time to go back to hockey, but to watch some friends play tonight. it was a good time, except they lost (to the first place team) :( in sudden death overtime nonetheless, but they were up in the beginning so that sucks. it was also a scrappy game, and some off calls, so that sucks too. i hate sudden death, it's like everything else is washed before that point and it's so gut wrenching! but i guess i should be glad i wasn't bored :P

okay.. i'm done.. i should go clean my room. or do laundry.. i've been meaning to do it forever.. like a week or two. i semi-cleaned/organized my room, but of course messed it all up again. i have very little floor space to begin with, and now it's just non-existant. i should take a picture and show you all just what a slobby-bobby i am. hahahh.. maybe...

ps.. i'm watching my video of jason mraz @ hotel cafe from way long ago.. it's SOO good :) such good times, such nostalgia, intimate settings, $5 fee, really really good shows and love always. *sigh* plus the part where annie comes up for the say anything game is priceless. loves it.

pps. my sister is a dork
*while watching news of lance armstrong's "tour de force"
joan: do you think he's really good or do you think people just let him win because they feel sorry for him?
jean: huh?... i think he's really that good. *pause* why would people feel sorry for him?
joan: because he had to overcome cancer.

hahahhahah. say what?
