so i was watching average joe 2: hawaii, it wasn't nearly as exciting as it was in the commercial and this second one isn't as good as the first one. they said they were going to bring another girl on the show, and i thought that meant permanently, but it was only for like one day and she was a "coach" for the nerdy guy team. the hot guy team got a hot guy coach. but they had a baywatch themed "competition" so in the beginning they had the baywatch theme song and showed all the guys and larissa in their switsuits. it was so freaking funny... i remember when angelee and i used to be rabid baywatch fans, and angelee had the theme song memorized and would sing it to me. it made me laugh so hard, ahh.. memories.

today sakura and i went to the torrance kiwanis meeting. just to check it out. the amount of people who go to the meetings each week there was relatively small, and they were pretty amusing, old people humor and all. they were really trying to get us to join (as all clubs do) but sakura starts work next week and i'm not too sure if i really want to do it. dues are super expensive, and also part of me wants to be like, no i don't want to join, you tried to sue my friends. but i do kind of miss the whole volunteering aspect. of course i can help out in other ways, but kiwanis was always a good medium (especially for lazies like me). the only thing is that kiwanis is more focused on fundraising, i mean... they have to be in order to support themselves and their sponsoring clubs, and they try to make you do all these things, join committees and go through orientation. i don't know if i want to jump through all those hoops just yet. but we'll see. i feel bad for just like ditching them so i have to keep going to meetings, but if i keep going they're just going to assume that i'm joining. eh.. we'll see i guess. sakura and i are going to this dunlap gala... we'll see what happens there too. we'll probably see some old kiwanians from san diego. that too.. the different clubs are so varying. and we got so used to la jolla kiwanis meetings and some of the other san diego clubs, it's kind of hard to transition. but they're pretty friendly. we got free lunch :) you take a slip of paper depending on what you want, today was chicken salad or chicken tacos. so i got tacos and sakura got salad, so some guy was joking around about how he thought that's what our names were. so throughout the whole meeting this guy was like.. "no that's salad and that's taco" interesting. also everyone who walked in was like "oh we have key clubbers here today?" riight. i guess if i anything we could attempt work more and bring more awareness to cki because it seems pretty universal that usually most of the kiwanians are like "what's circle k?" but yea.. do sakura and i look like we're still in high school? hhaha.. i guess that's a compliment.. right?
